Miniflux is my RSS reader of choice. ActivityPub is a complicated protocol, but I still implemented ActivityPub support into my blog.

That's what I fear as well. Computers get more powerful -> programs waste more of that power. Internet gets faster -> websites grow in size as well.

Yes, I have 100/40 VDSL and it's honestly enough. How large should websites grow that I need 25 Gibt/s?

For what do you need redidential 25 Gbit/sec? Just because you can? Honest question.

I built my own blogging engine (source at https://jlel.se/goblog ). Previously I used Hugo, but there were just too many workarounds to get my IndieWeb and ActivityPub setups working the way I want them. Writing my own blog

I wouldn't find it bad for Facebook to be banned in Europe. This would be a chance for less data-hungry messaging services and social networks.

They like being restricted like this, I guess. Watch the debate about external app stores, many don't want them. But most iOS users chose this walled garden. I'm happy to use Android and not being restricted to what I can install

I guess that's because they didn't change the name in Germany as well. "Volkswagen" is really easy to pronounce in German, but "Voltswagen" is just weird.

Magic links suck. I just want to use my password manager and not login to email first to login to your service after that. Medium for example uses magic links too and it's so annoying.
