Your latter comment would be one use. There are a lot of ways to recapture wasted energy (such as all the wind that cars generate when they go by). If this wind turbine can generate electricity from just a little wind, then highways are a g

I wonder how much power it would generate if you had a gazillion of these things lining our major highways. I bet there's nearly a constant 10mph breeze from all those cars.

In my opinion, using a map as an event calendar is fantastic (I was working on this exact thing 2 years ago). The idea is good but your maps are what makes this REALLY good. EDIT: Spotlight mode is a GREAT feature. Very nice!

There's also http://www.zvents.com/ Jesus, this is ANOTHER idea I didn't implement (I had this same idea 2 years ago) I was too worried about the details and ran out of steam when I should have just cranked out the code.

No, but you also need to have a very clear design which transmits a mental model of how your site operates. I'd be skeptical of a site that was messy and over cluttered especially if I was going to be using it to trade knowledge! I think

The buyers info always starts with something like "We would like to speak..." I wondered if there was some default text in the set process buyers go through when they create a listing. Perhaps default text that started with "We would like t

I wondered that too, and also wondered if there is some sort of template which the buyers use. If that's true, the template approach hurts because it blurs all the buyers together when they probably need help differentiating their request.

No problem. I suppose you want some real feedback too. From what I can tell about YC backed sites, they are usually very, very, very clean. What I mean is: your homepage is too busy. Going along with my original comment, you should drive

I really like your tagline. It immediately framed what the site is about. I know that's the point, but still, I really like it.

I totally agree with you vlad. I've always attributed the cursor focus as being just good user interaction and not some ploy for more ad clicks.

It seems the act of acquiring does a lot of damage all by itself. One thing that would probably go a long way would be if the acquiring company kept the acquisition process short, sweet and easy.

I know I suck at picking colors. Being color blind doesn't help either! I put together a small service that tells you what colors a url uses. So, if I see a website that has a nice color palette, I use my service to get the hex codes. It's

I think this is a big deal for two reasons: it signals that Microsoft is starting to open up a little and the other reason is that getting code definition information through an IDE like Visual Studio is vastly superior to disassembling a .

Right, I don't think Microsoft is open (pun intended) to just anyone modifying their baseline code. It's almost as good, but if you've got access to base class code for instance, instead of extending a class you could instead grab the base
