Site usage analytics has a lot to do with state in a way. How about a visit counter? Something lightweight that would persist page count/ip address/lastdate values with an ip address key.

Preach it! Been using Go for a while now, and I haven't been able to keep this much of the problem domain in my head since my days coding in M2. IMO, that's the point of Go.

Sure. For the internet to be fully realized, all endpoints need to provide services just as easily as consume services. The whole thing is a system.

>The fact I need an IDE to make it workable (just) highlights this point. J2EE was terrible too, because it showed where things can go, if you let the Java astronaut architects lead. IMO you could say the same thing about C# and VS as we

>A framework calls your code, a library is called by your code. Exactly. Very subjective, but I lean towards library with golang, because it seems more natural, and the bigger a framework gets, the more you have to do work for it to get

Yeah same thing down in Bham. The indoor malls are becoming derelict, with the use of the word "mall" reverting to an original meaning, like an outdoor area that happens to include sidewalk stores.

Actually it's an exercise in manipulation. HN tends to take itself too seriously sometimes (you know, pressure for intellectual rigour and all that), so occasionally I'll throw something out there to see how many points I can lose

Next: "Insurance companies warn against unsafe, self-driving driving cars." Spy on me then kill the very thing that could make car insurance obsolete. Fuck off.

If you're going to call something half-assed because it's not HAProxy then I for one would consider it more productive if this was framed in terms of metrics instead of something like "half-assed." Does HAProxy have a su

It's certainly not true with Go so far in my experience. Download, grab some packages that do specific things, put together a solution. Low noise.

Exactly what is %15 for 30 years going to get me but delayed poverty? The standard retirement language in this piece is just bs peddled by money managers that I've been hearing all my working career.
