Apple is absolute nightmare, but most other makers have pretty serviceable products. Checkout youtube videos for Samsung or Lenovo phones. In amateur conditions it takes about 10 minutes to replace "build-in" battery. Or 30 minute

It should be probably 'poor or...'. I was at Ukraine a few times. Tech is one of a few ways to make good money there.

Poor and oppressive countries (India, Ukraine, Saudi...) typically have more women in tech compared to western countries. There are not that many job options, and IT is often only reasonable option to get western salary.

I would not be so harsh, my initial comment is a bit misleading. And most Europeans do not know the difference between Washington and Washington D.C. :-)

My wife had some complications after pregnancy. UK and Ireland has GP referral system, where single doctor coordinates all specialists. In theory it is good system. But our GP ignored basic symptoms and pushed bullshit like "depression

I do not think this can pass. I think it would be incompatible with EU law, which has higher priority than local country law.

No ext4 or other alternative file systems support, no file system snapshots, no file system write overlay, no alternative schedulers, no kernel upgrades without reboot... Just regular things from Linux.

When swimming underwater, brain should not be telling or ignoring anything, it should be totally empty. Idle brain consumes about 25% oxygen, even more when it is being used.

Yes, it would be much better to have equality. Women would get drafted and fight in WW2 alongside men.

Negative externalities? It would be great to concentrate all pollution from ocean, land and air into single place. And I do not mean CO2.

Coal plan produces more radioactivity than nuclear plant. There are radioactive elements in coal and they get released in smoke into atmosphere.
