I have a hard time believing that after putting in all the effort of creating the video and getting it out there that this guy would do something like this but truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.

If it were EventBaker (no 's') I'd like that, otherwise I think Amusely. I kind of go with names that are easy to remember and make sense. I know with Eventsbaker I would keep forgetting to add the 's' in there. Example: If you had a sit

It's confusing too. The API suggest 4 tiers but then in the FAQ it mentions 3 tiers. The top tier is for ESPN itself? ESPN: "Hey guys we are cool, right? We opened up our API so that anyone at ESPN can use. Let's tell the world!!"

I see too many problems with this idea. (1) App makers that transmit data already pay for their web services' bandwidth. So they are basically getting double charged for the same data. (2) If app makers transmit data to other open services

Thanks for the book reference. Looks interesting. If it's one thing I believe it's that there is not a single approach to anything. This seems like a good book for me I do believe there are things that large corporations can do well and t

I'd like to add that I think and hope that the trend is for traditional corporations to keep getting replaced by a larger number of lean companies (where's it's possible). The larger the corporation (by total employee count) the less nimbl

I think this is the even bigger story. If they did it on purpose, then it's hypocrisy. If it was by accident then it proves how hard is it to be compliant with the law 24/7. Personally, I think a law with high consequences shouldn't be so

When I see the hatred people have for anything "Lotus" I'm both surprised and not surprised. Surprised because I didn't know so many people used a "Lotus" product like Notes. Then not surprised since I've used them and constantly curse at

A big THANK YOU from me. I have been talking to my wife for some time about how I'd like for Internet companies to start taking aim at the same people that are aiming at us. It's not about revenge though, but as a way to move forward past w

The usage of "nerds" by several of the US Representatives bothers me a lot. It's already putting up a wall and does invoke the "revenge of the nerds" picture. My wife (who is not in tech.) even said, "at least we know where all the jocks

I never thought of my self in this fashion but I guess I fit into the designineer category only because I took some graphic design classes in college while I was studying CS. I thought it would help me create video games but I landed in web

Yep. It makes me wonder if they would pay more attention if maybe a patent troll came after them (I know, I know... it won't happen). They are using Drupal for whitehouse.gov and I'm sure other open source tech as well. There's got to be

This was a great post. My wife and I have 4 kids and even though we are technically "outnumbered" we try our best to get everyone in on the idea that we are a team in this adventure of life. It's hard but it's wonderful too! This was my f

Great idea! I think receiving a physical card does mean more to people. Down the line, maybe people can purchase credits. I wouldn't mind opening an account, putting in let's say, $30 worth of credits and then over the year send cards out

Nice work and very useful! It's great to see the Twitter Bootstrap CSS being used as well. I've been using it as a starting point for my projects now. Maybe a next step would be for users to be able to save their plan name/type and then t

In regards to the mac screenshots, I found the key combination a little too much for something I tend to do a lot. On my Win7 laptop I have OneNote and the screen capture with <win>+S was great. Now that I have Skitch, I find it wa
