For the record; I've travelled in India and parts of Africa. That's not the point. The point is simply biology. If we reduce our population sufficiently (by whatever means), then the effects we have on the global climate may start

Why not? I just said "sufficient populated areas". That does not mean only India. Nothing racist about it. I mean, globally speaking, wiping out New York City and all the people in it would also provide a benefit.

Make sure to install and use ccache and give it a big cache size on a fast ssd (I use 96GiB). It speeds up rebuilds (after the cache is populated) quite significantly.

"you know the bad ones" - Yes, we know. The top of the list would be: North Korea, Russia, USA, UK, China ...

The sooner FB just dries up and dies, the better (IMHO). What do we need that junk for?

It's super readable with any plain text editor or browser. And it's really nice to read something not filled with images, crazy fonts, colours and other junk. It's just pleasant.

My workstation has 20 cores/40 threads and a large C++ compile job parallelizes nicely, but the linking phase does not. I could use more single threaded performance to speed up linking of our many libraries and executables.

Because "it's the language you know best" is a perfectly valid reason. Another valid reason is that, if used properly, C++ performance blows other languages out of the water.

Have you ever engaged with politicians much? I think not. What you wrote is very naive. Yes, laws should be specific, but they never will be.

Ohh no. Stupid web-devs are going to mess with my UI elements. Please don't! I do NOT want you to try and make my UI look "pretty" (or whatever). I want it to be FUNCTIONAL.

If I was subscribed to that guys YouTube channel (which I'm not, since the guy is an idiot), someone pulling a stunt like this would probably prompt me to unsubscribe.

I don't know where you work, but where I'm at, less than 6years of solid experience would be considered junior, no where near seniour - that's 10-15 years of relevant experience.
