Give crypto development a shot. It's an interesting concept to be able to manipulate state variables "on the blockchain" and have them apply to everyone in the world. I would start with this YouTube series: https://

Shout-out to the Livemarks / Foxish plugins which gives you RSS support on your Bookmarks toolbar. Still nothing better IMO for quickly browsing dozens of headlines across dozens of sites. Firefox: https://github.com/nt

That definitely used to be the case, but it seems that webdev has matured to the point where you don't need to learn a new framework every 6 months. React turns 10(!) this year, and React hooks just turned 4.

Just be careful with this kind of plugin. Had something similar installed a few years ago that was breaking some Google links and I had no idea why until I realized I had this kind of plugin installed.

It's been hostile for years. Lately I find that I'm getting actual answers from there less and less. Not sure what can be done apart from a decisive change in community engagement from the top down.

A lot of it is dumb luck. HN gets a lot of posts, most which see little to no activity. A few early upvotes seem to make all the difference in what eventually surfaces and what doesn't.

Many of the best community-made maps have already been added to the Arcane Dimensions mod. My personal favorite is Tears of the False God by Bal. Truly incredible work.

Jack is what we lovingly refer to as a Bitcoin maximalist. They are unmoved by innovations that happen outside of the Bitcoin project and tend to call everything that isn't Bitcoin centralized garbage.

I've worked on and off in the crypto space for 4 years, and I've often said that crypto attracts some of the best and the absolute worst of humanity. The key, I think, is to realize that it's still very much a "wild west
