The actual OpenRouter data says otherwise.[1] Right now, Google leads with only 28.4% marketshare. Anthropic (24.7%), Deepseek (15.4%), and Qwen (10.8%) are the runners-up. If this were winner-take-all market with low switching costs, we&#x

Many people have a lot of context built up with ChatGPT. I know people who refuse to try Anthropic because it "doesn't know them as well" & can't answer their questions. HN views this as negative but many people see

Cancellation is never about justice. It's always about status. Many rapists and abusers do not face social ostracism because they contribute more than they take away. Many people are ostracized because they do not contribute enough i

Input management is the biggest difference between monthly plans like Copilot and pay-per-use like Cline. Monthly plans hide the input from the user and try to minimize it while pay-per-use plans visibly use the full context window. Mentall

You're not factoring the input tokens into the equation, which is 90% of the price with a tool like Cline. My queries are like 30,000 tokens input for 50 tokens output

This happens all the time at American buffets. Morbidly obese people eat 20 cheeseburgers in one sitting. You should not be operating a buffet if you cannot handle customers like that.

There's plenty of least-developed countries where most of the population isn't formally employed, doesn't engage with standardized tests, and has never built necessary bridges/tunnels.

What other disabilities can acceptably use a companion? Autism? Social anxiety? Bipolar disorder? Many of these make it difficult to maintain relationships.

Canada does this but it is barely enforced. Many non-certified people call themselves "software engineers" with no consequence.

Not a geologist but Mohs hardness is an ordinal scale so the distance between 10 and 9 isn't well-defined. The numbers are defined as being specific minerals. Diamond (10) is 4x as hard as corundum (9) which is 2x as hard as topaz (8).

This. Yes, Cline generates a bunch of junk very quickly and makes dumb mistakes. If I can filter out those dumb mistakes automatically, I don't have to supervise it. It might burn 20¢ on fixing a mistake no human developer would make,

If the "extremely precise requirements" can be cheaply and automatically validated, it's much easier to have the AI generate spam on a loop until it passes all the tests.

I've noticed the error rate doesn't matter if you have good tooling feeding into the context. The AI hallucinates, sees the bug, and fixes it for you.
