Just a note, I use Node across Linux, OSX, and Cygwin on windows. I have zero problems with a NPM lib of 40+ modules. Everything from connect to bcrypt.

The two points that grabbed my attn: * Make scripting accessible to Java developers * Open source is TBD And what of groovy? Really I just see this as some more rah rah talk. As a professional Java and NodeJS developer I'm just not excited.

Progress was made but looks like it's stalled atm. Since Tame has an endpoint maybe easier to just suck it in? Edit: That compiled script looks a wee scary. I need to be able to fully dive into a debugger with clarity and can't imagine if t

It's the little things that count and I like that out of the box bcrypt is being used in auth.py. I never got around to playing around with Mongrel2 but always wanted to. I'm a huge Flask fan and will most likely (after looking through some

I think I'm going to make a module to help people with GitHub repos create a friendlier layout for non-developers.

Same can be done on github. I can even do a cname redirect on a bare domain. When a user thus opts for this functionality what then is the differential factor in comparing it to GitHub?

- Basically the front page of any google project is like the readme in github or bitbucket. Some repos use github pages for a full site. This makes it like a google code site and better as you can actually host content. -Issues? Github has

How about linking Google code to Google+. Where projects have their own 'Project+' personality and what not. You could even have a 'downloads' like 'Photos' for all the people who don't seem to like GitHub (don't know why but ok). I have to

GitHub and Bitbucket is for code, and for people to interact with other coders. You really don't go to GitHub and Bitbucket to download your favorite binary. That is what sourceforge, Top100 xyz, and Cnet is for. The projects that are popul

While this post talks about GitHub, i think it very well applies to any distributed version control system. Having an open source project is another means of visibly showing your enthusiasm, and even skill set. Notice how I don't say actual
