I am quite proud of the tumblelog [0] code I wrote. There is both a Python and a Perl version and it was quite a challenge to keep them in sync and idiomatic (I hope I succeeded with the Python version). I am also happy with the output [1]

Having just added a (simple) calendar view [0] to my tumblelog static site generator [1] I can tell that in my experience "from scratch" is quite some work. [0] http://plurrrr.com/archive/2019/ [1] http

I used to use org-mode a lot, but switched mostly to Markdown as that's what "the rest of the world" uses :-(.

I have two blogs [0][1]. For my main blog I use a Perl script that's far from ready for public release. For the tumblelog [1] I wrote a static site generator [2] that's available via GitHub On the main blog I write about technical

I started a tumblelog [0] a few months ago. And of course I wrote the static site generator for it myself :-) [1]. I like it, it reminds me of the Internet nearly 2 decades ago. [0] http://plurrrr.com/ [1] https:/

If you like to hack in Python or Perl maybe have a peek at tumblelog [0]? I am currently working on version 4.0.0. and I don't think you can get more static and simpler except for running an older version. You can see it in action here

May I take this opportunity to recommend a static blog generator [0] I wrote? It uses a single file for input which is Markdown separated by % characters on a line by itself. It comes with 10+ different styles and you can either run the Per

The article uses RSA 2048 :-(. See https://blog.g3rt.nl/upgrade-your-ssh-keys.html for why Ed25519 should be preferred, even over RSA 4096 (assuming it's supported, of course).
