We moved away from libp2p at the project I work on because of major instability problems in browsers. Our dapp that used libp2p would crash after a few minutes and was generally not easy to use. EDIT: I'm referring to the JS version h

This is super cool, but I wish there were more explanations about what happened! It's interesting how the Q gets turned upside down and rounded out.

There's not just the reduced cashier costs, but the vastly increased revenue per foot of store that will come about when customers know they don't have to wait in line. The store will also be less empty per dollar of sales; or, sa

Yeah I can't wait to read books about this stuff in a few years, probably soon! Hopefully Brian Armstrong will write one.

Do you have evidence for this or have an idea of how many people have/are doing this?

You would think they would buy for themselves commensurately with client purchases so they wouldn't get into this situation. Maybe they try to and couldn't keep up? Would be fascinating how this stuff is managed behind the scenes

Keys are still easier to store and harder to confiscate than chunks of gold or fiat are. Can memorize them (worst case), store paper or tiny sd card in sock or shoe if afraid of it being confiscated or perhaps email it to you. Or tell part

The linked post literally talks about what happens in the book and says that it's half about orbital-mechanics so not sure how that's not a spoiler

Isn't just the title of this Hacker News entry and the connection with the book a massive spoiler? Could argue it got me intrigued, but wondering what Stephenson intended. (I always wonder about not putting spoilers in movie trailers

Does anyone know just how close of a call this was? Was the landing aircraft 100, 200 meters above ground? How many more seconds until they would have been too slow to pull up?

The top-speed is really a prime concern for choosing your car? Interesting. Do you live in a no-speed-limit jurisdiction, such as Germany?
