Strongly disagree. As humanity progresses our tech gets more and more advanced. At some point, our "latest technological concepts" will reach peak/extreme levels. Clearly our tech is more advanced than it was 2000 years ago.

Are you saying "which suggests that the world that is simulating ours is likely also a simulation" because if there is another one than it is _possible_ we are therefore somewhat likely? If so, I tend to agree. As beings, we gener

I don't know about you, but I basically assume every app is doing this. Is this really a surprise? Were not all apps doing this for a long time?

To be specific, it's not just nose picking, it's piercing the mucus membrane. I.e. causing your nose to bleed while nose picking.

They do this in basketball all the time. At least they try to. That's why there's a shot clock.

I'm amazed it took until the video game era for this to happen.

The world has plenty of lithium. Just takes a couple years of mining to catch up. There’s also a limitless source in the ocean. If prices got high enough we could just filter ocean water.

They can make stuff up, right? They are allowed to say "we are keeping your money for 120 days because of some security ...". Who is ever going to know this is valid/true or not, unless it goes to trial somehow and there is a

Sounds like they could be using your cash as funding. If they hold a bunch of cash from people it is effectively theirs for that period of time. This could prevent them from needing to raise a funding round if done enough. Some businesses a

It IS _natural_ sugar in stuff, not HFCS. You are right about that. So that is one difference. But let's look at the other differences between W. Europe (this is the Europe I am thinking of at least). 1.There are ZERO local national re

Sugar is negligibly expensive. It's just so cheap. In a wealthy region such as W. Europe, I can't even see the price differential mattering.

I'm American living in Europe. There is sugar in every packaged food here too just FYI. And not just in the country I live in, it's basically everywhere in grocery stores. So sugar is not the only culprit.

I think it should be postponable. If everyone wasn't obese and didn't smoke or drink guess what... we would still get cancer or die of heart disease or dementia. At least this goes for the US and much of Europe.

This is like 10x the cost of other hsCRP tests you can take from home. Pretty hard to justify the cost differential. Also, going to a proper doctor and having a real blood test done once a year would cost way less than this.

I was excited to try the Clojure track, as I have been planning on learning Clojure soon but couldn't get it to work. I attempted to start the free trial a few times and was redirected to the Go or Redis track repeatedly. So couldn

I was also suprised they couldn't go faster. Maybe energy efficiency? That is the only reason you would go slower. Maybe they are trying to make this thing hyper-efficient energy wise. But this project is awesome for two reasons: one,
