Better learn a new, generic concept than obscure syntax I’ll see combined 1000 different ways on the same codebase.

Or dig deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole, and come out almost unemployable 7 years later while the entire industry has moved on.

This is basically using academic journals as a marketing channel. As someone else linked above, there are tons of similar devices available from China, probably even using the same chips, at equally low prices.

I thought that would be understood implicitly - how many google products do you know, maybe 10 to 20? That’s a < 10% success rate, pretty comparable to startups in general.

What can possibly sustain that rate (other than cloning another SSD of the same make over and over)? The wear speed is actually the same as a 970 Evo @ 500GB, 3GB/s and 300TBW. There’s zero chance you’ll hit that during a normal comput

Google has discontinued a total of 205 products so far. I think their survival rate is pretty close to the startup average.

Ruby is a much better candidate for this. Nicer syntax and a vastly better standard library.

That is actually a quite hostile move for OSS, which has become common lately. Unless you have trademarked the name, you don’t get to reserve it for a rainy day, anyone should be able to pick up the torch and continue the project without ha

I’m confused about the train shed example. What are you trying to say there? Innovative architecture does not equal problems, it is commonly done all over the world. It’s a matter of good design principles, materials science and factoring t

If it’s wind / solar, absolutely. A compressor for that canal run is probably using 1-2KW/h, comparable to a small shop. If the compressor itself is cooled by the water you’re even putting back some of the sun or wind energy that

The evil part in tracking is tracking user behaviour and personally identifying data. If you’re tracking overall metrics anonymously, it doesn’t really matter if it’s done via HTML/JS/CSS, it is probably not evil.

The reality is that neither career prepares you for interaction design or HCI, so being an art school trained designer or a software engineer has little bearing on how deeply you understand design; comes down to your own learning path.

You still need tons of fuel for that, in the order of tens of tons per year travelled - unrealistic for travel outside our solar system. Thrust doesn’t really matter at that time scale.
