I always throw Nginx in front of Node so I can route statics to the filesystem (Don't serve js or CSS through NodeJS), plus it means I can run new NodeJS services and adjust the routing in Nginx to point to them. Also Fail2Ban reads Ng

4h seems to be an accepted limit of any focussed creative activity. After that the quality of your output will start to decline until you're just giving yourself bugs to fix tomorrow. Obviously if you're doing routine work you

If running in Debug mode means it's running < 60fps I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Native stuff doesn't do that and React Native/Nativescript don't do that either!

Nativescript is more powerful than React Native because it gives you direct access to the JAVA/Objective C libraries if you need it. I reviewed Flutter but got put off by the levels of abstraction.

The GDPR isn't a bunch of rules, it's a process. It's no different to your health and safety process. You define your process, what data you have and where it is and any risks. Personally, with massive PII dumps getting leake

I've not found anything in JavaScript that replaces Django in terms of ecosystem and reliability. There's lots of attempts but Django and Rest Framework nail building out APIs. Java executes faster than Node but is more verbose. C

You absolutely wouldn't want user data stored in app bundles. You can back up all user data by backing up /Users/ or /home/ on Linux. As an application developer, I want to be able to drop a new bundle over the old

Yes... is it possible the other two are niche because we can't do them with the current infrastructure? Computers used to be niche, not everyone had one. That's not how technological progression is made though.

Anecdata: I'm in the UK and have worked with someone from NZ, it worked really well. He was a designer and tester so when we came in the morning, he'd tested everything and left new designs to be built up, then handed over to him

Indeed. Take a look at Brexit, where only 37% of the electorate voted to leave the EU, it has been politically impossible to pass the legislation. The electorate don't want it and the politicians can't get the votes to pass the wi
