Another thumbs up for the Economist from me. Definitely my preferred source for just about all news.

If someone such as you, a technical person, is unwilling to take the initiative in signing up for it, then it's really just a self-defeating prophecy, isn't it? My point is, adopting a creed of proactivity is for the good of us all.

I don't think what I'm doing is a standard practice, I've heard of certain stress and 'baoding' balls being used to strengthen muscles (video: http://www.baodingballs.com/baoding_ball_techniques.html ), but I think that's about it. Normal

Interesting. I'm actually learning to use the other hand precisely because I'm also learning to play the piano -- Chopin's preludes have very demanding left-hand parts, so I figured I would probably benefit from strengthening my left-hand m

Oh cool, a Skype WiFi phone. Can you make a suggestion please? How much did it cost? I've to have my mom use the computer with the USB mic, and it usually turns out to be a big hassle.

Debatable, I suppose. I think the inclusion of 1 is pretty significant, in terms of the contrast between 0 and 1. Maybe that sounded strange -- oh well, I'm not a mathematician by any means. :)

From a rough glance at the screenshots, they do seem to have improved. But if they haven't, all you really have to do is copy the fonts from Windows 7 to the newly installed Ubuntu distro, really just a minute-long task.
