Not every chef has the means (e.g. money and time) and/or non-food experience to start a restaurant. Constructive criticisms, and not all criticism is constructive, should always be taken in earnest; that said, there is also a matter

Or ads, like many online ads were originally, could be based on the content surrounding them rather than the person looking at them. Ads need not be scatter-shot without personalization.

Please, no. A camera need to be ready to shoot the moment I flip it on. I also don't want it to have reduced battery life just so that I can use the god-awful playstore on it.

In the English-speaking world (or at least in the USA) we sort by last name, so any list of names you get is always last, first. For that reason many forms (though not all) will have the last name as the first thing you fill in.

I still don't understand how the recording light negates the need for a privacy shutter. I don't care if i know when the camera is on, as the camera could be turned on without my consent or just before I'm ready.

I use the tab tree extension in Firefox for the same reason. Vertical tabs have only minor usefulness anymore for me.

> The gap between analog and digital modes is big enough that maybe it doesn't make sense for them both to be in the same club. This makes absolutely no sense. There's a whole base of physics, experince, antenna design, &c

Checksums, signatures, HMACs, &c are allowed over amateur radio; so integrity checks are allowed. You're not allowed to "obscure the meaning of the message", but that doesn't preclude integrity checks.

That 20gb dump doesn't include history afaik and probably doesn't include images and other multimedia. I don't think it invalidates your point, but I just wanted to clarify.

There are also Merkel trees, which are closer to the signature -on-"subdocuments" mentioned above. Also blockchains that explicitly include the previous block's hash.

I was responding to the idea that it's good nothing is at null island because it's a default. I was showing that there are aome default locations that have people and there are consequences to that.

It makes sense in that every table needs a name to reference, however if you only have the one table there isn't any ambiguity.

You may need a lock if you have operations that are not atomic, even with a single writer, as a reader could find an inconsistency.

What nonsense? There are so many worse things we spend money on, like weed busts and minor drug offenses, than tracking down unlicensed broadcasting, which can be disruptive to licensed users.

VLF would also go through rock and water? Could be useful for spelunking (and submarine comms). Depends on if they can transmit without a huge antenna as well.

Most, if not the vast majority , laptop and desktop HDMI ports don't support cec. For me this makes it a non-starter as a media center.

There are cryptographically secure pseudorandom generators. In fact all sources non-hardware (i.e. /dev/random and /dev/urandom) are psuedo random as are the keystream generators for most algos that use one.
