Has nobody made a polyfill for swiftUI on other platforms yet? Or is it too tied to apple OS-level APIs? The language itself is pretty nice, last I used it. Even if some of the method (argument?) names in most SDKs are absurdly long.

pg was added too, first one I tried. I had assumed it was a growth-strategy thing, but testing makes more sense. Surprised to see one of these kinds of sites be opt-in. Most things I see using HN data are real loosey goosey about it.

Josh Wardle really lucked out by both accidentally having the best name for that game, and it hitting a cultural firestorm quite quickly. IIRC, NYT are mostly going after other implementations if they have similar names.

Orion browser for iOS allows both chrome and firefox extensions to be installed on iphones. (for now anyway, I'm sure apple will yeet them whenever they find out about it) You need to change some settings first, but it worked when I pu

If you use the regular version of altstore, or jailbreak, you can install it. I messed around with it a few years ago. Running windows xp on an ipad 6 was a bit of a trip.

Have you ever programmed in objectivec or swift? I imagine what you're describing working something like that, but on the command line. A few years back, mpv changed to make named arguments require an equals rather than a whitespace. I

Site tracking might end up being needed if a site changes how their URLs work in response, breaking sites. Facebook made a change a while back where they went from fb.com/<unique readable url>+<tracking slug> to fb.com/

Looking back, it was kind of weird how both apple and google used webkit for separate proprietary browsers for so long.

How much xylitol is there in things that a dog might eat? When I imagine any kind of artificial sweetener, I assume it's hundreds or thousands of times sweeter than sugar and the quantities present are correspondingly lower.

Is there any naming standardisation for laptop displays like this? It just seems to run on eDP and have a slightly uncommon 3:2 aspect ratio, but I don't know if those mounting points are out of the ordinary. Being able to pull a worki

Those unpowered gliders pictured in the article weren't something I knew much about until I saw it as part of a d-day in real time video. [0] Fantastic solution to a pretty specific logistics problem. I appreciate how the solution they

Were any axis leaders tried for war crimes related to bombing campaigns? Most of what I've heard of relates to smaller more specific warcrimes and ones related to genocide. I'm sure there's more examples, but the only allied

My imac aged out of osx support (got one more OS version through installer hacking), and I couldn't get windows 8 to work right through bootcamp. Haven't reverted since. I've used apple computers for work stuff later, but wou

The way filter lists work on the site means you can easily decide to never see posts or users from threads. The "Profile Labeller" [0] labeller already has a specific filter for threads users. I'm just annoyed you're sti
