It's C# with some really nice additions for game development and a bespoke IDE. Allegedly, the guy who used to be the CTO for PopCap Games is the man leading the way.

I wanted to like Crystal but the documentation was heavily lacking. Even BeefLang had better documentation and that seems to be the brainchild of one single man.

I think he’s trying to say that near-zero interest rates are never coming back which is a sentiment that I think everyone agrees with here. His tone comes off as abrasive, though, and I struggle to want to agree with him.

Yeah, I struggled to figure out why the author was angry. Was it because she failed? Or was it because she tried in the first place? If the latter, what could she specifically have done differently? Finally, why would exclusively Republican

We had a rockstar teacher who really cared about CSci in a mid-size high school in a mid-size state. He should have been poached by a more prestigious school but stayed there his whole career. I think my junior class had legitimately 50% go

Ergonomic mice are what’s useless. They give your wrist the tilt it (may) need but the real panacea is to keep your wrist/forearm off the table by resting your elbow on your armrest and having your desk height match your armrest height

Has this ever worked for a company where there were genuinely equal options available? Because you could say GMail but GMail was a better experience than literally every other provider at the time.

Couldn't agree more. I think the issue is that school budgets are limited and music programs are perennially on the chopping block because they are among the most expensive and are seen as the least critical to education. The band dire

It's presidential election season in the US. People are going to fight hard to bury what the other side says and raise up what their own side is saying. Here's some free advice: leave until January 2025 and spend your newly free t

To be fair, most people at my company use upvotes as an acknowledgement like, “Yep, I saw and read your thing”. If you get no upvotes, you’ll worry your post didn’t go through. And, realistically, no one is unprofessional enough to downvote

We should regulate Amazon, and we cannot regulate Temu, we ban it. Then we're back to the trade war. The tit-for-tat from that became ridiculous.

Like most 10x technologies such as ORMs, AWS, and high-level languages, the goal should be to gain the advantage they provide early on but have a plan to move toward technologies with better long-term outlooks (ideally home-grown alternativ
