I think when you're young with free time AND passionate about something, you should dive into it and learn as much as possible. When you're older and if you have children, PLEASE PLEASE spend the appropriate time being a GOOD parent. It se

Very cool. There are some minor issues though. Here is my sketch: http://sketchub.com/view/d4b8fcb36fe4b078b100069bafebd352 I'm using a Thinkpad with Wacom enabled display and stylus. It 'should' say 'hello world' 3 times and have an un

The safehistory plugin doesn't seem to work for the newer versions based on the comments on their page.

On that same analogy, you need to find a good 'co-parent' that you get along with and also loves the child and has the time/dedication/skills to raise the child to be a happy and successful adult. Depending on who you pick, the child might

I've thought about buying a cheap Android tablet and mounting it on my wall for the same purpose. It'll probably be 5-8" display, but it'll have touch screen. It'd be easy enough to write my own TODO app and just have the tablet display th

The cool (bluish) white tints of LEDs usually produce the most lumens. As you go to a neutral(5000k) or warm(around 2700k) white tint, the lumens output is lower. I assume they went with a cooler tint to get the most output. LED productio

The LED technology used in that bulb seems a little dated. I believe it's using Phillips' Luxeon Rebel LEDs. Looking at the pictures, there's 3 sections and each section has 6 Rebel LEDs. Total of 18 LEDs. All for output of 800 lumens. A

I don't believe this is Airbnb's fault, BUT since it has happened and gotten big they better get their act together and fix it somehow. Renting out short term is a good business IF someone is around the entire time to watch over guests. Th

Piccadilly notepads are a cheap alternative to Moleskine. They're available for $3-$4, IIRC, at Borders bookstores.

If you don't mind me asking, how many vacation days did you take? Or the average taken in the company/department?
47.
by jim_h 15y ago
Yes! That's one of my concern. We're so used to written rules and set limits. Vacation days are usually defined and typically 'earned'. If there is a defined number and person A doesn't like that person B has 5 more days, person A can't

I want a tablet that has Wacom and stylus along with capacitive touch screen. Heck, throw in Windows 7 and I'll be happy. (W7 has great handwriting recognition.) W7 + OneNote would make a very nice (and expensive) electronic notebook if

It's great that you called. Unfortunately it seems like most, if not all, politicians are shielded and you can't reach (talk to) them directly unless you're connected in some way.
