Working on working out and less IT. I wish I could use auto completion for building muscle. Maybe a Large Muscle Model? (Joke).

In Europe, Polette [0] has tried to sell cheap glasses, albeit with no way to try them on. However, they have started selling more expensive ones, and their style is very hit or miss. People could favour other brands for lenses, like Nikon

The only issue with Apple models is that they do not detect languages automatically, nor switch if you do between sentences. Parakeet does both just fine.

I don't know much about this, but I'm wondering things: - how do ARM's NEON/SVE fit in in this history? - is there a AVX/SVE SIMD equivalent being standardized across GPU vendors?

I'd recommend trying to get 1 package manager to handle all of it, like Brewfile [0]. > Docker/containers solve isolation, not tool installation. You do not want to run your editor, terminal, and CLI tools inside containers. I&

The new window is nice and useful, but I find the window’s header to be on the very thick side. Nowadays, that whole header should probably leave in the sidebar itself, and the sidebar could probably be more "Liquid Glass"-like.

I think it’s time to stop using emails in general for all of that. What’s the alternative, though? What if each service generates a link to a uuid url where all new message will be displayed? The user can rss subscribe to that. So the user

This is excellent news! What I'm waiting for next is MLX supported speech recognition directly from Ollama. I don’t understand why it should be a separate thing entirely.

I've personally replaced keymacros by things like Alfred's workflows (or Raycast's): aka a universal command palette. It's usually very fast to type "cmd-space", and then type 3-4 letters to find the macro I wa

I never learnt how to touch-type, until I moved to a different keyboard layout (namely bepo [0]). I recommend finding a good keyboard you enjoy using, but it's a bit annoying if you need to carry it around. Whatever you do, don't

One issue with windows maximised with the green button is if you have more than 1 window of the same app: you might alt-tab to the app, but cmd-` is not switching to the other window of the same (while id does if not maximised.

First of all, congratulations! Nice tool! Second, some comments on the presentation: the horizontal violin graphs are nice, but all tools have the same colours, and so it's just hard to even spot where jsongrep is. I'd recommend g

Indeed. I’d rather have a local web archive of my tabs in my browser so that i can see what the website was like when I last saw it. Add to that a background vector db with a RAG for each website visited and I can then search for all my pas

Quarkus is better, but isn’t that amazing IMO. It’s still very much an annotation festival in the code, making the framework quite lengthy to learn for newcomers (gotta learn Java and the whole quarkus annotation DSL with it). Go is verbose

The basis of Erlang/Elixir/Clojure is that structs are just inflexible maps. So, this is trying to tackle and type this instead. It’s not wrong, just a different vision.
