Random contextual side note: Colin Moock has been contributing to the webdev world since the late 90s ( http://www.moock.org/webdesign/ ) mostly focused on Actionscript. Back when people thought web development was a joke (and not flash), h

Agreed. The consumer models just aren't quite at the inflection point yet. I've been watching the Roland IModela but it's just not at the right price yet thought it's slowly getting there. http://technabob.com/blog/2011/10/10/imodela-3d-mi

Some of my best bosses have done this in different ways and it's super inspiring. I know it's a ridiculous amount of work in and of itself but it's something that becomes absolutely priceless to those who were involved. For those who are ma

I laughed a tiny bit when reading this comment because it highlights one of the points of the post. If the blog you're referring to was written (or repeated) by one of the internet personalities mentioned here, we probably would have rememb

I think this will depend on what role you play. As someone who's technical, 3-4 hours is the minimum for sure but if you're responsible for business relationships (like making sure you try to sign an artist every day) then 1-2 hours sounds

Glad to see hardware startups getting press. Hardware startups like these, being bound largely by physics, don't get to boast vanity metrics like traditional web-software startups. It's refreshing to see numbers that translate pretty closel

Good on you! Having spent some time in hospitals with loved ones recently, I think broadcast TV (like cable) will continue to thrive until someone does a fantastic job of making a "channel lineup" application for on-demand media. I tried to

Great point. Most of the popular open source projects in the JS space (jquery or node.js for instance) have a person that serves as the voice of the projects. I think if someone from the webOS dev team stepped up to take that role, I'd be a
