Like a race car driver saying, "don't hit the wall... don't hit the wall" then bang, into the wall. Not being in Yahoo's shoes I don't know what I'd say. But I don't think that anything could be said to ease the concerns of the acquired cus

I personally liked the Leaf over the Tesla because of the price tag and availability. The dealer has tons of Leafs. The Tesla has a waiting list. In 2 years, I'll turn my Leaf in for a newer model that hopefully has more range and charges m

You'll grow out of it. It's really easy to grow out of $2k (slightly less) for tires. My advice is to stay clear of this sort of thing because you may fall in love.

I leased a Leaf about 3 days ago (24 not 36 months so I'm out of the $2,500 state rebate but I'd rather turn the car in, in 2 years and get another). Waiting at a Toyota charging station in Oakland, CA right now while the wife is getting a

Apple is selling bonds to pay for their upcoming dividend. Perhaps this is a precursor to raising interest rates. Otherwise, they may have waited longer to for interest rates to go lower. From the article: "Last week, Microsoft sold nearly

One example that comes to my mind could be an algo closely related to the price of another security or index of what have you. At times, this algo could be highly correlative and at other times less so. I agree with you about random noise.

To me, backtests are constructive but like you said, not predictive and perhaps questionably meaningful. Any good strategy using technical analysis will be able to identify a trend in any market. What differs are entries and exits. These fa

IMHO, when developing a trading strategy it helps to document and share your strategy with others as you'll come to better understand it from the questions and observations others make. No one strategy can or will be successful forever. Man

I agree with this statement. I've never understoodwhy people here at HN express frustration with Craigslist's Web 1.0 design, but not HN.

Maybe an analogy can be drawn here to popular music. You run into a lot of people that say they don't listen to it, and some who say it's crammed down our throats by radio stations giving listeners no choice, but at the end of the day it's
