This is kind of the idea of variable refrigerant flow system which can heat, cool, and move heat from one space to another. Seems like an "easy" solution would be to add appliances to the system.

This is my main complaint. What's the point of having an open world if there's no mechanics. I can shoot a cop in the face and walk half a block a way and they'll just give up.

The average cost of residential electricity in the US is just under $0.12/kWh. A $6/mo electricity bill is pretty much unheard of around here. My electricity bill is around $50/mo and we only have 2 people living in the house

But why? You'd have no 3rd party apps, gps, cell service, and Safari wouldn't work. To make it usable, Apple would have to put in a lot of effort.

My Garmin lasts about a week if I don't use GPS and it's by far the best feature.

It’s a lot easier than you’d think. Unless you’re going really slow, motorcycles are pretty gyroscopically stable.

If SRAM is as ubiquitous throughout chip designs as the article suggests, wouldn't that mean the theoretical density prediction is off?

Exactly. I live in the US in a relatively typical suburb and the vast majority of people here don't really have an option on whether or not they drive. Our public transit is lacking, jobs are inflexible with WFH, and the majority of ho

Unfortunately not since Nvidia has had such a monopoly on the high-end GPU market. Interestingly enough, it looks like the $379 in 2015 dollars worth $415 in today's dollars which makes the $500 for the 3070 seem slightly less shitty.

Is it really that good for consumers? I don't buy a lot of things at Walmart because I find that it's generally low-quality. Since they've run many smaller businesses out of the local area, it's now more expensive and ti

Yeah, people flash their ECMs all the time. I don't really see how using 3rd party software to boost power in a Tesla is all that different. Just don't cover any damage caused by the tinkering under warranty. Tesla just seems salt

What a callous view point. It's true that most of what the majority of people say is not that interesting, but there's plenty of people who do have conversations that are valuable for 3rd parties to listen in to. Throw a big enoug

Thanks for the link! I'm going to make the switch to physical sunscreens. I don't think I can justify not using sunscreen here at high altitudes in Colorado.

This is certainly an interesting perspective. I have a friend that refuses to wear sunscreen because he feels like the risk to his health from rubbing all the "unknown chemicals" into his skin outweigh the health risk of skin canc

Short-term, global warming is set to increase the amount of moisture in the air, meaning that high elevation places will likely see more snow until the warming hits a threshold where most of the moisture will fall as rain.

It does seem like watercooling might be a better option for these high-TDP CPUs. I went back to air cooling on my latest build because I went with a Ryzen 3600 which only puts out around 65W under load. IMO, the cost/benefit of waterco

Yeah this just isn't true. I'm sure that there's been some false flag attacks but to say that most of the looters are undercover cops is asinine.
