I had one with I think a 7th gen Intel processor, and while it ran Linux pretty well the coil whine was enough to drive me absolutely batty. I made it about a year before I traded it in.

I would love a competitively-priced pro-motion external display, but Apple historically has not paid much attention to this space. I was disappointed in macos, with Apple Intelligence stealing most of the oxygen to (at best) middling result

That 30-300 dollars is just the range of virtual machines you are connecting to-- I can't imagine it is very surprising that a personal VM starts at around 30 dollars per month and GPU-enabled machines would be substantially more expen

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I was honestly a little shocked to hear about RH moving away from RHV, but glad to hear there is some interoperability between some of these tools.

Looks like that tool typically targets KVM as a source. My understanding is that Red Hat's own virtualization platform is transitioning from RHEV to OpenShift. If that is true, are you actively moving customers from vmware to OpenShift

I would suspect both a general economic slowdown, and also a rebalancing of investment dollars to chase the production of widgets that we would now have incentive to produce locally.

I'm out over my skis a bit on this one, but out of curiosity (and having never experienced it), what sort of leverage does a business have demanding free support from contributors that are under no obligation to provide it? Those seem

It's pretty much the perfect linux laptop for me, but I will never willingly a laptop with a function row like that. A non-tactile ESC key is especially head-scratching.

I have never really been proficient in Excel and I've always sort of been drawn to Python+Pandas+DataWranglers, but I am sorta interested in Python for Excel when it is released for Mac. I'll at least give it a shot!

Thank you for nice comment! I already have a job I enjoy, but I still take note of the tech field economic climate by monitoring recruiter activity. Of course, the issue could always be me!

This has been my experience as well. I think in a year I had maybe 2-5 recruiters reach out, and in the last 1-2 months it has been more or less every week.

I feel the same way. I have a really nice MBP and I cannot justify a dedicated desktop when a single thunderbolt cable to my laptop does the job just fine, but I do love the value and design. Maybe I'll pick one up for the kids .
