I really enjoy the Merb source code for that. There's more rigor in Merb than Rails, though it's less helpful if you're mostly doing Rails stuff.

Count me as one of those people that don't get it. If I'm joining the elements of an array together, I'm operating on the array. Therefore I _expect_ the join() method to be on the array. To me, Python can't seem to make up its mind with th

I moved to Toronto last year. One thing that I still can't wrap my head around is that a huge number of ATMs are open to the street. I always feel VERY uncomfortable getting money from them.

I'm a little baffled by the 3rd redesign and FutureRuby's ( http://futureruby.com/ ) choice of using a Soviet Russia inspired design. I get that they have a futuristic edge to them, and that this is considered cool. But the connotations the

Isn't this the same thing that Metafilter does? How's it working out for them? I know I paid my $5 for them, but I haven't been back there in a long time.

That's hard to imagine. Lotus Notes is already a beast. Every time I start it up at work, I cry a little on the inside.

I want access to whatever data is inside the spreadsheet. Currently Excel locks away your data unless you use a library of some sort that may not necessarily be 100% accurate, or capable of a specific feature. Likewise, generating spreadshe

That's a pretty normal time span for a laptop to fail. Someone working at Dell once told me that components generally start failing after or around 2 years. My laptop rule of thumb: always buy the extended warranty.
