I am not a fan of Facebook, I have never used Twitter, I am sure there are lots of others like me. There has been a lot of talk about semantic search over recent years, but just that TALK.

The flip side is that if a company is to create a good QA site for an another company...Wouldn't they want it to be so official looking that the user would not be able to see the difference?

Creating a simple framework to build on is probably the best way to create a compelling complex product. One can see this pattern in other things such as RoR - Basecamp, XUL - Mozilla, etc. Over time they seem to become more complicated and

Good news for Mercurial. It happens to be my favorite DVCS. Bruce Eckel seemed to come to the same conclusion (HG over BZR). It just seems to have the right feel after coming from Subversion. All in all, it is good competition. Git needs to

I don't understand why anyone would use a "textmate lookalike" on linux if they already had the real thing on OSX.

I wonder if the CTypes Python bindings will help out the DVCS clients such as Bazaar or Mercurial. Bazaar already has good client support for SVN. It would be nice if Mercurial would get first class support.
