Well I think the person quoted is suggesting you work on your network now, presumably before you are looking for a job. But I could see an argument that even going to meetups and just talking to people while you're actively looking is

Sometimes quantity has a quality all of its own. The difference is in the number of people who can be involved and the distances that can be conquered, but those differences completely change the possibilities of online speech.

I'm not sure about your point about "leveling" vs "leveling up", because for me, "leveling" means making a surface level/flat and does not have any video game-related meaning, but the "on" i

Haskell functions are pure, like mathematical functions: the same input to a function produces the same output every time, regardless of the state of the application. That means the function cannot read or write any data that is not passed

I think the comment is alluding to the scientific method, more or less. Some kinds of knowledge are simply not accessible through logic alone. Facts about the world have to be obtained through observation. We then create mental models based

I would add that a lot of Borges' work is written in an academic style that is highly translatable, but he also wrote a lot about the criminal underworld in Buenos Aires and those works are, unsurprisingly, full of slang and local refe
