It is strange how fast things can change. I remember thinking 10 years ago that even decriminalization was an impossibility. I am not sure if I am willing to say that legalization is an inevitability yet though.

I find arguments against Bitcoin by talking about scams and illegal transactions completely baffling. The same thing happens with cash simply because it is a medium for exchanging value. It is an inherent property of currency.

There is plenty of blame to go around on all sides. Personally I feel like our entire system is antiquated and is due for a modern update. Unfortunately, it would probably take a complete collapse to ever get real change and it would be a r

Would it be possible to just have the editor display to the user whatever style they prefer but keep the underlying representation consistent? I guess it would just add complexity and make it harder to just edit the files as plain text thou

Asking for every IP address that accessed a public gist seems like a bit of an overreach to me. Github should also have the responsibility to protect its lawful users' data. It seems reasonable though to request some user data for a sp

I live in the US and was able to go to college almost for free. There were a few caveats though: 1. I waited until I was 24. This meant that my parents income did not affect my federal assistance so that I could get the maximum amount. 2. I

Seems like Linus agrees with you to an extent. He thinks it is sad to have to statically link libraries and create huge binaries but it is what you currently have to do to ensure things don't break. Be aware of typical Linus swearing:

I think a lot of people would agree that being able to target a vm in the browser would be really nice. The problem comes down to getting a consensus. You run into the catch-22 of people only wanting plugin-less browser support but browser
