It will be interesting to see as we run closer and closer to the limits of observation and consciousness if we're on the verge of another huge paradigm shift in empiricism.

One I've had asked of me before is reversing a string, and then I was asked to re-implement it so that the string is reversed in place. I like this one over fizzbuzz because it doesn't require the candidate to know about the modul

Yeah I don't see why it's better to have private companies hold the data either. Private companies have a different set of incentives, such as mining that data for advertising...

The author here seems to be making the assumption that all these laws are considered purely from a 'public health/safety' standpoint, without ever being weighed against something else. If we wanted to evaluate laws purely und

I also live in an urban area (Chicago) and started riding about 3 years ago. So far I've had spaces in parking structures where I could do some less involved things (changed my own oil a few weeks ago, wheee) without raising too many e

Do consumers actually differentiate on these extras? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "Yeah I picked up a Lenovo laptop because the antivirus they package is better than Dell's" or "I got a Samsung phon

It would further orient Microsoft as a services company than a product company, so it would be consistent with some other moves they've been making (open sourcing .NET, selling Windows 10, Office as a subscription...)

The firmware exploits that were being talked about a few weeks ago are probably the most surprising to me. But IIRC a lot of the stuff that Snowden revealed was previously considered the realm of tin foil hat conspiracy theory.
