Woah, let them actually make the thing and bring it to market before you write them off. It's grossly unfair to compare their fundraising efforts to the total sales of established console games... At this point, anyway.

Not quite sure what they're suggesting. A wishlist system, whereby I have a bunch of products in which I've expressed an interest? Some kind of digital gifting system where people pay money to buy virtual "presents"? In the case of the form

Good point. I also know for a fact that a lot of underground (and not-so-underground) musicians use a standard Profile for their Facebook presence instead of a Page, as well as a Profile for their real identity. Is this using the system wro

Been using Facebook every day since 2007. Recently though I've noticed my visits to the site drop to maybe once or twice per day, whereas at its peak I was checking it multiple times per hour. I think in their desire to work out what exactl

I'm just having fun! And dealing with my own PANIC in my own way. Seriously though, think how dependent a lot of people are on Twitter. I'm not just talking about us nerds who like tweeting links about CSS hacks, or the people who like to t

I swear, the way people panic when it drops off, Twitter is way more like a protocol than a website. It's like someone saying "Email is broken... Everywhere".

A couple of friends of mine were planning on going to Bloc on the Saturday night. They didn't even get near the venue, and I was online immediately trying to piece together the story of what happened. Some reactions from people on Facebook:

Absolutely. When I first got mine my friend was shocked that I could be so enthusiastic about a device that doesn't have social apps and integration or notifications. Like what you'd want when you're concentrating on a book is constant remi

I've been reading as many Nexus 7 reviews as I can in a vain effort to sedate my excitement for its arrival later this month. I know this is going to sound ungrateful, but this review seems a bit thin. The idea of using the Nexus 7 as an er

I keep hearing that, but honestly, 16gb is quite a lot of space IMO. Obviously if you feel the need to carry around 64gb of videos at all times then you'll scoff, and I'm not saying 16gb is more than you'll ever need, but you'd be surprised

Very cool-looking, especially the cover photo for events. Should companies/bands/artists and the like start taking G+ seriously, this will be a big selling point (they love little branding opportunities like that). Calendar integration: Jus

I ran a search for "site:geocities.com/Area51" to see if the old free hosting webpages are still alive. Found this gem: http://www.geocities.com/area51/3253/ It's very easy to look down our collective noses at Geocities, but I really feel

Wow, for a moment there I thought I was on reddit. I don't play games, so don't use either Origin or Steam. But even I can see that branding EA "hypocrites" is exactly the same as accusing a politician of "flip-flopping". They made a call,

As far as I know, Android apps can add core functionality to the phone. For example, if I download the Facebook app, I can now share my photos from the Camera app via Facebook, without having to actually open the Facebook app itself. Same w
