Can someone shed some light on the full use-case of Tailscale/Zerotier/Nebula please? I may be not getting something fully. The question is this. Say, I use one of the above to form a private mesh network for the nodes that an org

On a somewhat related note, I recently got onto a binge reading about Polynesian people and culture. The story of Polynesian colonization of New Zealand is captivating. It starts with the colonization of a new land with abundant resources.

Autocratic leaders can get pretty irrational in their quest of preserving power down to the point of harming what seems to be their interests in major ways.

Based on my past experiences with the above strategy, both my proverbial face and nose are fine, thank you! Before that though, I have done both - named an amount too high for a job that I really wanted, which I got passed on, and then name

The responses I wrote can (and should) be delivered in a friendly, half-joking, and easy-going manner. I don't believe you should ever get into a defensive and argumentative mode in a job interview. Well, not just job interview, ever,

The part of the discussion is not just about pay, it is also about company culture. I really don't want to work at a place willing to haggle and fill the position with the cheapest eligible person.

Yes, that would be preferred, I think. Write a new job title with defined expectations, so that other people in the organization would know and understand why this person is paid more, and what it is that they should strive for if they want

I also feel very strongly about this. Many moons ago I literally got paid half of what a friend of mine got paid for exactly the same position, responsibilities, and output, and yes, I can gauge the output, as it was a position for which

I love it how in the screenshot in the description you can see that the shortcuts on the desktop are mostly games. Now you know why the hypothetical user is sticking around using Windows as their daily driver in the first place :)

I like your approach. However, I don't think that this: - List<T> is a functor because it "contains" T's. List<int> "contains" ints. Is really correct. I believe a `Container<T>` becomes a fun

Very scary. History gives us many examples showing what self-righteous people with strong convictions and a belief that the end justifies the means can do. It's not pretty.
