It seems that the science has already gained a few wins in the last twenty years when it comes to understanding (and slowing down) aging. It will take time for that to trickle down to the medical system. I mean, there are good reasons why w

Congrats to all the Croats here seeing this as a good thing! Welcome to the club! For me personally the benefits of being part of Euro and Schengen (coming from a small EU country) have been vastly greater than any potential costs.

Have you actually driven an EV though? The first time I drove one I was pretty surprised how fun it is. Anything that doesn’t have two exhaust pipes doesn’t even come close to your median EV appliance as far as pure driving fun is considere

Thanks for sharing this! The takeaway for me is - to try and never respond to intimidation and fear with productivity, only respond positively to a positive stimulus. Lest I’m already in some kind of a simulation running software developmen

What do you mean by next chat? Like, did you mean the next prompt in the same thread, or a new chat altogether? From what I’ve read, the chat thread actually works by passing in your previous conversation as part of the prompt to the model.

Maybe silly, but this is how I treat chatGPT. I mean, I don’t actually think it’s conscious. But the conversations with it end up human enough for me to not want to be an asshole to it. Just in case.

Nobody forces you to rely on type inference. It’s perfectly valid Rust where you type everything if you so wish. This might actually be a good way to learn the ins and outs of the type system. EDIT: Also, what do you mean by type ‘coercion’

I think you misunderstand what null safety really means. It’s not that values can’t be null/None/Empty. It’s just that it’s made explicit where this is the case and where it’s not the case. Without null safety everything is impli

Cool, I didn’t know this. It’s hard for outsiders to follow what’s regulated at state level and what’s regulated federally! EDIT: And maybe then we shouldn’t go around spouting nonsense, but hey, that’s Internet :D

It’s amusing how some people treat the collapse of one fraudulent CEX as the end of crypto. If there was an event that could’ve killed crypto then that would’ve been the collapse of Mt. Gox. Systemically speaking, the collapse of FTX is ord
