The comments section here isnt much better than that Edit: To follow up your edit, I find the attitudes toward race and gender on HN particularly troubling. Whenever there is an article that discusses legitimate race/gender issues it

Hm, what's going on with this article? There are stories with fewer points that have been around longer and are on the front page while this one is dropping like a rock... Get it together, HN...

Jeez. This repo clearly isn't for someone like you, it would be much more educational for someone who doesn't know much about how this stuff works under the hood. Creating a dead-simple software rasterizer goes a long way towar

For us we support multiple platforms (win, osx, ios, android, ...) and need to interact with hardware io, codecs, and gpu apis. We could use C, I suppose, but we'd be giving up some of the niceties of C++11 such as smart pointers that

I understand that a trade tax would affect everyone, but for someone like me who makes maybe a handful of trades per month it wouldn't really do that much to dissuade me from making those trades. I also don't particularly care on

Another disincentive might be the trade tax that Bernie Sanders has proposed since it would basically affect HFT way more than anyone else.

Looks cool, but could you guys list some of your content? Like is this just a bunch of low-value videos of tree frogs or are there some decent documentaries? Hard to tell from the landing page...

Good article but it didnt really explain why they're so far underground very well. If the neutrinos interact with the electrons in the water inside the device why does it need to be so deep underground?

I just tried clicking on "Harper Lee, Author of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird,’ Dies at Age 89" from wsj.com's homepage and got the paywall. I then pasted the headline into google and clicked on it from Google results and did not g

Although I don't agree with the sarcastic answer the sibling post here gave, I also don't entirely agree with your point -- nor do I entirely disagree with it. Software development still has plenty of algorithms and data structure
