Yes, and I remember how a lot of .Net people moved from .Net to ruby because of the type system. Now you are going to move to an inferior type system that doesn't even support generics and with worse type inference.

Yes this is important if you want to load balance http traffic at the TCP level and have the remote address in the back end app. Nginx already support decoding the proxy protocol but I wonder if with this new feature you can encode the remo

> load balance the incoming requests to the individual nodes Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is actually incorrect, because there is no concept of "request" at the tcp level. If I understand correctly it will rather l

Which is also my point, both mongodb and rethinkdb has the same feature in this regards but different defaults. Does that makes one worse than the other one?

There is some FUD in this blogpost as well as in the comments in this thread. I think the current status quo for databases is canned software. And this isn't necessarily bad because neither of the three databases mentioned hide their s

In addition to every other response, one interesting thing about your comment is that first you mention "node" , then javascript/browser, etc. which is the exact history of npm. It started for node.js then someone did browser

I wonder if they use the protocol buffers definition to validate json over http, or they dupe schemas into json schemas or other format.

I see ad injectors installed on all my friends and family computers. I think people has developed some kind of ad-blindness. I remember a friend using facebook and some crazy and animated ads were taking 80% of his screen, I asked him "

I think the main concept you are missing is called HMAC, which is a cryptography thing. If you don't know this, I will recommend this explanation [1]. The client can send something wrong? Yes, as long as the client can digital sign wha

I use this very same feature of openwrt to load balance between my two ISPs. Here in argentina neither of the two ISP are reliable, but cheap enought if you really use then and you need reliability. I recommend multiwan3 as the op suggest,

I disagree with parent but I have learned from this case that anyone with access to a major CDN or the great firewall can take down any website. There is unbalanced power. What if I don't have access to the OPs team of github?

I was wondering if you can prevent this by looking at the "Accept" header in the request but it seems accept is " / " for scripts. I'd expect the browsers rather to send "application/javascript".
