Really depends on what the context is. Maybe for a taxi ride when negotiating a price ahead of time, but pointing at an object, asking for its price, getting an estimate that's off, then getting the actual price before the transaction

Because it gives an idea of what range is expected for the actual price. If someone gets an estimate of "about fifty bucks" versus "about $51.04", their reaction to seeing a final price of say $62.17 would be different.

The BOM is similar but it's not very compact. I have yet to 3D print a case for mine and get the PCB manufactured, but the dimensions for it are roughly 1"x1"x2" assembled, when not on a breadboard.

Not that I'm aware of, but it's actually pretty easy to build one from off the shelf parts (ESP8266, Plantower PMSA003, Sensirion SHT31, Sensirion SGP30, Senseair S8), which was my pet project during the pandemic. Basic soldering

There's a lot of variance between seats, and luxury cars tend to have better seats than Tesla's. For example, the Lincoln seats have 30 settings to adjust, as well as a massage function. [0] [0] https://youtu.be/jb

Chickens have changed a lot in the last 50 years as well. This 2014 paper [0] compares the growth of chicken breeds from 1957, 1978, and 2005. The pictures of chickens at 56 days are pretty striking. [0] https://www.sciencedirect

The IRS would like to differ. If you have to pay taxes, they have to be paid in US dollars, not chickens or Bitcoins. As such, it has at the very least the value of being the sole currency that can be used to pay US taxes.
