That would be nice, but it would have a lot of ramifications. Before setting the cookie, the browser would need to know if it's allowed, so presumably it would have to load some file. Perhaps this could be done in a manner similar to

Interesting blip in the "Conversion Rates by page load time" graph. Wonder what the reason is for the conversion rate for 0-1 seconds being markedly lower than 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4? Also, that graph really irks me. Not enough contr

Google has a long history of paying to acquire talent. I assume this isn't any different. Nest made an extremely popular in-home device; Google wants to buy that mojo.

Coming soon: audio ads, broadcast throughout your home via your Nest Protect. Since it knows if you're moving, it can wait and play the ad when it knows you're there, allowing Google to charge a higher cost per impression.

Cool. Congrats, and thanks, for opening everything up. It looks like you have not only opened it up, but invested significant effort into making it super easy to hack on (including a VM appliance!).

That makes sense - looks like WebM/VP8 support in browsers is a superset of Ogg/Theora support [1]. It would be silly to serve up Ogg/Theora unless it yielded better quality/bitrate (and I'm not up-to-date on how t

I love the naming scheme (AdjectiveAdjectiveAnimal) you have used, and wonder whether or not it could hilariously backfire (e.g. the Scunthorpe/Buttbuttinate problem)

I think that yapcguy's concern around the data protection laws is not in relation to the contents of the picture collection, but rather the personal data, access logs, etc of the people using Flickr to search and view the collection.
