You can easily google "generative AI success stories" and read about them. There are always a few comments that make it seem like LLMs have done nothing valuable despite massive levels of adoption.

How are you evaluating the phrase "yet not one company?"

I'd challenge your assumption that quality is collapsing. I remember the good old days where nobody unit tested, there were no linters or any focus on quality tools in IDEs. Gang of four patterns we take for granted were considered eso

A few years ago a I read an interesting quote by a Chinese official and how confident they are they'll surpass the US. It was something like, "the US spent trillions on wars in the middle east, we spent trillions investing in our

A different way to think about this is asking why anybody thinks they can be correct about this? If records surrounding this topic are always correct and require revision maybe that's just how the data presents itself. You only know th

It won't be for a long time. World population may increase well into the 2100s.

What would you tell a junior dev that did this? You tell them not to create extra abstract classes and put that in your onboarding docs. You literally do the same thing with llms. Instead of onboarding code standards docs you make rules fil

I know this is sarcasm but if you've been using LLMs for most than two weeks you've probably noticed significant improvements in both the models and the tooling. Less than a year ago I was generated somewhat silly and broken unit

It's easy to avoid overly complex solutions with LLMs. First, your prompts should be direct enough to the LLM doesn't wander around producing complexity for no reason. Second, you should add rules/learning/context to alw

I don't. I gave up. In my 20+ years nobody has ever maintained the docs and we all somehow made it. Businesses and careers don't rise and fall based on whether or not a readme file is up to date. Also, in the age of AI producing a

Yeah sure, but populations are increasing TODAY as in NOW and will happen for multiple decades for most countries. Your statement about populations declining is just untrue.

I don't know what you're saying. >Practically the whole planet is experiencing population decline now. That's objectively false.

This isn't accurate. Birth rates are declining but population is still increasing in most countries.

Can you prove the school made money from the football? You're just saying football is popular and some revenue comes in, but nothing that proves football is money making for the district.

I didn't say learning the basics was a bad thing... I said memorization wasn't important... I find it frustrating people argue against points that were never made.

I don't like the comparisons to other schools or cultures where memorization is the priority. What kids do with what they learn in school matter more than whether or not they memorized a calc function. Besides, who cares if you know ca

Is there any study or evidence supports that MOST parents "watch TV, stare at their phones and don't want to be bothered by anything that requires effort?" This is a common trope but I've never seen any evidence.
