Ah you're right. There was a change a while ago that did seem to favour creators that made longer videos over shorter ones, but it's not as cut and dry as watch time = more money

Definitely something to know, but it's the best way for that to happen when you're waiting on asynchronous requests, as it lets you create the subsequent promises while the first promises is fetching its results

Could you speak more to the dart, and specifically the "Java level of boilerplate and code generators"? I've used it a bit but I haven't found it very boilerplatey in general, so I'm interested in learning what cont

If your phone is otherwise normal, clearing the app's cache and data is usually a good way to get things working again for cases like "this app obviously must not be doing this on other people's phones"

An alternative idea is that some types of "boilerplate" can be annoying to write but actually helpful for people to read, and these tools might make that type of code more acceptable. For example, it's helpful to be able to s

There's a few different concerns, one concern is about the reach of your posts changing dramatically, and meta handing your content to people who will then harass you, share your posts into their network multiplying the effect, etc (a

It's addressed in the article... you sort of end up with a meta-programming language when you do that, which ends up being less ergonomic than your initial code. Then you have questions like how do you do control flow within that list?
