I used S3FS to upload 50k images (about 50KB each) and the performance was atrocious. The upload took an entire day on a 100mbit pipe and the s3fs userspace application ballooned to over 1GB of memory usage.

Meanwhile development of a true iDevice emulator is underway. Unlike XCode's iDevice simulator (it compiles the dev app for the host architecture [x86/x86-64]), this emulator is based off of ARM QEMU with lots of hard work going into emulat

Sony also dismissed the case against the rest of the defendants (f0f members included). It looked like Sony didn't bother to go after any defendant but geohot after they filed the case. However, SCEE is still suing Alexander Egorenkov (graf

It's simply disgusting, how the government can simply harass people without bringing any cases against them, preventing them from defending themselves.

Can you point me to a site that discusses the best practices for generating and securing my keypair? I don't have enough faith in an Instructable to get all the details right. How would I go about becoming part of this "web of trust" that I

Really? Did you feel that the content it pointed you to was relevant to your interests or did you like it for some other reason? I think the biggest criticism is that it was intrusive and not targeted.

The reason is that to achieve true security, they go hand in hand. Without identity verification, you can simply perform a MITM attack (decrypt connection from client, re-encrypt when talking to the server). Firesheep showed MITM over HTTP

Then why not allow at the home screen web apps to use Nitro? The entire app is within the UIWebView and controls nothing outside of it. I fail to see how a home screen web app is any different than one within MobileSafari.

It appears that "streaming" infringing content is considered to be a public performance and thus exempt from felony prosecution while "reproducing" or "distributing" infringing content does. I honestly fail to see much of a difference betwe

I fail to see your point. Every copy of a git repo is a full copy [1] - unlike a svn checkout. If you follow a centralized server model with git you have a copy on the server and every workstation it is checked out on. With svn, the full
