I've always thought that COBOL was insanely profitable too, however, I'm not seeing that in the Chicago area. I've seen hourly rates around $50 for COBOL/JCL positions, which is a lot less than other jobs.

You made me want to check to see how many lines the biggest page we have is. Turns out it is 12,533 lines long. The kicker is that it could be much longer but there is a convoluted process to adding more HTML. The results from the database

I use VBScript at work. I maintain a system that was started in the early 2000s and uses Classic ASP and continues on to this day. They are rewriting it slowly but in the meantime I get the joy of keeping it running.

I ended up taking over a Vue 1.x codebase and tried to update it to vue2. We used single file components and it was a nightmare trying to upgrade. I spent a good two weeks trying to upgrade and eventually just stopped because it was just ta

Just FYI the Minecraft activity isn't gamified computer activity, it is actual programming that uses a Block based language. So it has a lot of stuff, like loops, conditionals but it is more visual and allows the kids to see what their

Not sure if the person who posted this is the author of the article, however, it says >Total.js is the last in our Node.js web framework comparison list; however, it also deserves our attention. Yet, Total.js is the second framework ment

That is a very US-centric view though. The poster that mentioned it has an eu domain and given that this is a global site it isn't out of the realm of possibilities that they honestly did not know of the Secret Service.

So, there are Windows docker containers but that requires Windows Server 2016 (which we have limited instances of). Since this appplication used .NET Core we could use a normal (Linux) docker container but that would require our production

There is an area by me that has two Mattress Firms across the street from each other and a third less than a block away. I would joke to my wife that they are using the Starbucks method of store placement.
