Totally agree. For example, I have 10,000 SOL (Solana tokens) that I regularly screenshot and show off. It's all on devnet, though, so it's free and worthless. It's the web3 version - in web 2 I'd be instagramming my kno

That's why it exists for you maybe! For me it exists to be fun and historical.

I think it's fun and pretentious, so I vote to keep it! Besides, "NB" emphasizes that we should note well , not just note. Are you implying we should note /poorly/??? Yeah it's probably not practical, though.

Allow me to commit career suicide with my counter argument. My laptop random shuts off at least once a day (the screen goes freeze, then goes pink, it's an M1 mac if that helps). My phone's screen is mostly crunched glass shards,

Racket, what an odd part of my life. After learning QBASIC and then quickly pivoting to Python thanks to the advice of my peers on 711chan IRC, I read ESR's "How to become a hacker" which lauded Lisp as this magical language

This is basically a good thing, but I'm always annoyed by the use of "science" like this, making it into an institution with a unified voice. If they used the word 'consensus' or 'studies' the claim would

When I come to HN, this is what I'm always hoping to see. Lots are here for startup news, FAANG, etc. Nope, I just want to see really, really cool fun things. Great work.
