You have to play the game to understand how weird it is, even if the weirdness benefits you. There are financial constraints to being off the grid of the game. Even if I wanted to run off into the woods and live in a cabin, I don’t know if

It makes me wonder if they ever allocated money on a as-needed basis. Are they hiring across the board the way they are laying off across the board? Because then their hiring practice makes about as much sense as their firing practice. They

I don't run a show with 11 million viewers every other day. These aren't simple "recommendations", and he's not a simple friend. He's plugging stuff for money, in a opaque way.

I think one thing to note about generations prior to GenZ is that when those generations gave up, they mostly gave up on the system (too big to be changed). The cynic comes from the death of the idealist, so at some point these people belie

It can’t be proven, but common sense would say GenZ are the most nihilistic because they have to work the hardest to even get to the middle, let alone the end. I’d say the people in the beginning and end have a tangible resentment, and not

I too have a different take on why we want to see the world burn. We’re watching as we get trapped into the void, the proverbial rat race. We have a specific vantage point, dead smack in the middle. We see both ends of the race clearly, wit

That’s the thing, it’s baked in. He has the guest go off about some random historical tangent. Then brings it around to the sale, which is a certain another history podcast that sells for just one dollar an episode . That’s the bit he puts

It’s highly consistent. I can point to several examples. He is using a very manipulative tactic by not taking an ad break and baking the ads into the show like this. It’s the podcast version of product placement.

China got old before it got rich. That’s a provocative thing to say. What should China do if that is indeed the case? They can’t continue being the world’s factory if they only have 1-3 kids per family.

I see we're getting more granular in categorizing impulsiveness, which is the common trait in criminal behavior, anger issues, recklessness/thrill-seeking, addiction, and lack of attention. When you have issues with impulse contro

I agree, I would say higher resolution screens always pay dividends in coding (crispness, and real estate). I've been downgrading a 144hz monitor to 100hz in gaming and haven't noticed too much difference. I think I'd have to

Why does 144hz matter to you if you aren't playing games? This is not a gaming machine. You absolutely will not notice the difference for non-gaming tasks between 60hz to 80hz/100hz/120hz/144hz/244hz.

You can't get MacOS any other way reliably. I'm pretty sure you can get PopOS for free. Plus Apple makes pretty unique hardware. This is a totally unfair comparison. Compare to this instead: https://www.lenovo.com/
