Clef ( https://getclef.com ) — a replacement for usernames and passwords on the web. It's cool because it allows the 99% of people who aren't technical to use public key cryptography to log in to websites.

This is really awesome. The UI/UX feels a little unapproachable and the feature set seems lacking (what do I do when I get to that page) , but I'm sure it's infinitely better than the alternative. One small thing that's

Yep, that code was actually legacy code that ended up causing problems. I stripped it out :D, but only after I'd spent a few hours messing around with this.

Thanks for the feedback, this was actually something I was pretty concerned about when I made it, but I decided to go with it anyways. One question: do you think slowing down the color change would make a difference? I started with a 10 sec

Fair enough; although, in our experience users have enjoyed the flow much more than passwords. I'd encourage you to give it a shot and let me know if it's as unbearable as it seems to you. On mobile, when you click the button, y

At the Claremont Colleges (outside of LA, includes Pomona, Harvey Mudd, CMC, Scripps, and Pitzer), we've had success with almost the exact same strategy. At our last hackathon, we had a similar turnout (150+) and ratio (>1/3 wo
