Sorry that's not likely. I'm a single developer, not ready to run a server. More likely (though still have many more basic features on roadmap) is automatic merging support when a Bike file is stored on something like Dropbox. In

Rust uses very similar API to other languages for this: https://doc.rust-lang.org/std/string/struct.String.html#meth... The problems you are likely running into are higher level mutability issues. The above linked

The intro video at http://www.foldingtext.com does a pretty good job of showing what's unique about FoldingText. The apps you've listed all do "folding". But I don't think they can hoist/focusing a

Hi, this is Jesse. I am original designer/creator of FoldingText. Mutahhir has since taken the project over while I continue to work on TaskPaper and WriteRoom. I see a number of FoldingText history questions. I'll try to answer a

I'm think Engelbart's "Mother of all demos" included folding headings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mother_of_All_Demos I think the first "popular" ones were made by Dave Winer ( http

I've been doing Hog Bay Software mostly as (just me) since 2004. Tried expanding with 3 others around 2010-2013, but I'm a developer, not manager. Also the whole app marking seemed to be having troubles. Back to just me again last

I did make a TaskPaper iOS app, but then got overstretched and and wasn't able to continue working on it. I did open source the code here: https://github.com/jessegrosjean/NOTTaskPaperForIOS I think the most popul

I've run http://www.hogbaysoftware.com as my full time job since late 2003. Except for a few years (2010 to 2013) I've been the only employee. Dates might be off by 1 or 2 years but here's an abbreviated history:

They do. But hoisting projects in the sidebar does much the same thing. It's not that tabs wouldn't add anything, but they would also add more UI and potential confusion. Tabs were always a little odd in TaskPaper because 99% of t

I took tabs out because I felt there was lots of overlap in function between tabs and the sidebar. You can no add saved searches to the sidebar, and that was I think what most people used tabs for.

The dots are also drag handles. Originally I made them disclosure rects, I just think the dots look a little cleaner and since they can be used for both collapsing and dragging I think generic was a little more appropriate too. Can you expl

Hi, I'm the programmer... TaskPaper 3 combines a plain text editor front end with a outline backend model. There’s a download on the website. I hope you’ll take a look and tell me how you like it. Implementation Notes: - Rich scripting

Like I said, I'm too close to WriteRoom project myself. I read it as better then crusty old WriteRoom, but see I'm mistaken. I agree Ommwriter is good. I think I better stop reading forums and get back to work, thanks for your note.

I created WriteRoom, take my comments with a grain of salt if you wish. Maybe it's just sour grapes... Ommwriter is fun and cool. But "pleasant" where WriteRoom is not? Maybe I just don't get it, but for me having just my text on screen wit
