They didn't (and probably still don't) subnet by building on wifi, so more precise location than "on Brown's wifi" would have required intentional information sharing.

Was that on ethernet? If so, there's nothing particularly nefarious: each building had a /24 and the building's name was in the reverse dns. It's not particularly different from how many [citation needed] commercial ISPs

It's quite a bit different from stock hg at this point. The server is custom, and decent chunks of the CLI have been rewritten in rust. https://github.com/facebookexperimental/eden Previous discussion https:/

Correct. In the extreme case, imagine that your k hash functions are nearly identical: hash function `H_i` differs from `H_1` only in that the outputs for the `1`st and `i`th elements in the input space are swapped. Of the `N` elements in t

They already do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RdRand has been around on x86 for a while. Unfortunately, they're essentially unauditable and sometimes frightfully broken, eg https://arstechnica.com/

Don't know why people downvoted you. The intended interpretation was "if gcc, must be 5.1+", but I can see how it might be misunderstood as it was written. The readme was updated and now reads > folly supports gcc (5.1+),

FWIW, that comment was written before the option to control the path beep uses was added. Without the option to control the path, the potential race is only exploitable by somebody who can write to /dev, in which case that person is al

H tried using find, but, in this case, the libc readdir function was the bottleneck, so find doesn't help. Often, when ls is being slow, you can speed things up drastically by disabling the things that require a stat (colors, -F, etc.) that

From programming perspective it's better to crash hard and let the error be known rather than fail silently and introduce more sublte errors. From user perspective, what is the point of saving file in a program that is falling over when

Fading out the links is all well and good, but that only works when the bar itself doesn't draw your eyes to it. On my browser (uncostomized Google Chrome), it is by far the most distinctive element on my screen.

Erlang's syntax is terrifying to users only experienced with more mainstream languages, and hard to work with for users not specifically experienced with it. LFE or Reia may solve some of those problems, though I don't have experience with
