What might you do with your infinite series to roughly estimate the NPV in your head without having to write anything down? Especially when faced with certain tradeoffs, like comparing a $6B hyperloop with an agency with an annual budget of

Technically you're correct, the best kind of correct. But well, is there a pretty easily understood, common sense way to compare an yearly budget of $10B with a total cost of $6B, especially in terms of a trade off?

No, that's how modern privacy invasion works. After Facebook scanned Jane's phonebook, and made the invites Jane asked, Facebook should have deleted your phone number.

Interesting they are placing these at UPS stores, which would be close to the consumer. I would expect that if it gets big enough, UPS would set up a central location, say at their HQ airport in Louisville and do much of their printing, nex

I don't store any passwords in Chrome. Regardless, what you suggest is an enormous invasion of privacy. How about a, "Did you know that within 30 seconds, I can see all your passwords?"

First, very nice app. Second, stuff you probably know that confuses me. On Chrome, I can drop (multiple) imgur urls from another Chrome tab, and they are all placed on the canvas. On Firefox, I get the Upload prompt when I drag the image (a

How much do you tether? And to what sort of devices? The problem I have with T-Mobile is their customer service reps are so poorly trained. So depending on who I speak with, I am told I either need to pay the $15 for tethering or not. I pay

Thanks for the response. I just now read the WSJ article and while I am probably wrong to feel this way, I am a bit happier they need to get me to load malware on my phone, rather than the spooky action at a distance, reach out and touch so

Declan, I have a question for you, and maybe a suggestion for an article. Around 2005/2006 I believe you published this article suggesting that cell phones could be remotely monitored. http://news.cnet.com/2100-1029-614

I like playing with various dropbox experiments. What is the deal with dropbox these days? Is it okay to host websites out of my dropbox via a dropbox associated app?
