I need someone smarter than me to explain me what happens if all wages are always compensated for inflation. Would that mean no inflation?

There's even one other selection bias at play here. This might well be one of the most productive days of them that we're reading about. Not their average output per se.

If I interpret you correctly you've switched to Rust and then after a while disliked it? Would be very interesting to hear your experience. Most of these articles like OP, come off exactly what you say: just switched, and now a big fan

Funnily most digital audio is never fully silent for a different reason. Noise is added for the least significant bit, because otherwise you can hear artifacts (deemed less attractive than noise) on silent parts that are close to the thresh

If I understand your solution correctly this puts the risk on the buyer? ie I naively buy a domain for a too high price, and then the registrar revokes the domain? The seller ends up with the money, and I end up with nothing? A smart seller

I'd translate it as ten before half five, but apart from that, yeah that's 4:20 (inclusive or 16:20). I think in the UK they use half five as 5:30? Half past five basically. In NL it's half way towards five, maybe the Dutch

I'd say that listening to your own instrument with latency does not work at all. Making good tone/timbre/pitch etc all depend on a very short feedback loop between hands/ears/brain. edit: replace hands with whatever

At the risk of being nitpicky: Updating tools in your environment/workflow is exactly a thing that can lose a lot of time, often for not much gain[1]. One way to become very productive is to know your tools very well, and that would ex

One thing Notion has going for it is: it's quite easy to backup all notes, with a single click you can request a zip of everything in readable form. I do this monthly, but you could do it more often obviously. This is something Evernot

Perhaps it depends on your frame of reference. For me speed is still a detracting factor. I'm using the mac standalone app, just clicked around a bit, and many pages (with nothing more than 1 page of text) still get a loading spinner.

I do agree that C++ is a very big and complicated (and ugly) language, and because they value backwards compatibilty the only way it can go is even more complicated, because the cannot strip out stuff. But you last question can be answered

Isn't "Rail subsidies per passenger km (in euro-cents)" a bit of a strange metric? If the UK would half the amount of passengers, this metric would double, but it would definitely not be an improvement I'd say?

You could also take that as a signal it's not a good market to be in? Depending on how easy it is to find customers, and your goals/options regarding to scale of course.

Yup, there's a lot more bootstrappers who think the opposite: "why bust my ass doing 20jobs at once trying to get a business going when I could just show up and do plumbing and earn 10x more at FAANG."
