Two hours then, or three. What difference does it make? The goal here is to find something that’s better than staying in your SUV in a Walmart parking lot.

The story says she’s making $1300 a month from Social Security disability. She doesn’t need to commute, she gets the money even if she stays home all day and doesn’t do anything.

This story makes very little sense to me. It tries to claim that the mom is just in this impossible situation and there’s no possible way to get out... that living in an SUV in the Walmart parking lot is the only option. But it also says s

The misinformation here is ridiculous. The operating budget request for zero dollars was because they collected so much in fines last year that it will pay the entire year’s budget.

This article is complete bullshit. I'm a member of this group, only because I was added without my consent, which is probably the case for most of the users in the group. Just for giggles, I watched them do a pump and dump one time, an

I'm not sure that you realize that the current monetary system is only about half a century old. Fiat currency, backed by nothing except the government, has only existed since the 1970s.

Needing to pay taxes in dollars has nothing to do with what you get paid in. I know plenty of people who get paid in Bitcoin and pay taxes in dollars.

The backing of the military is useless. You gonna force people to buy dollars at gunpoint? The backing of the government is unclear. We've seen 20% inflation before, and I see no reason we can't see it again.

Ok, fine, i'll play along. What is a reasonable tip? Instacart wants me to tip 20%, so that's $40 on a $200 grocery order to carry my groceries 3 miles. I have no idea what's appropriate, but that seems outrageous.
