You know, I really hope it is obvious to most people. Somehow, it was a lesson I missed for the past six years. If anyone else figures this out earlier than I did from reading this, I'll be quite happy. Life is too short to be working on th

The assumption is that you've set up a desktop Windows machine. Printers are fickle things at best, made cheaply, and have mechanical in addition to software problems. He's either got to buy a compatible printer (extra cost) or set up a win

I'd be careful about giving this computer to your family. It sounds good, but there are some issues: - Your family can't screw up the software, but they're not going to understand that they can't run a bunch of programs they'd expect. - Woe

It's clear we're going to a place where local storage is going to be less important. However, there's only three groups of people I buy hardware for: my family, my employees, and me. - My family wouldn't have any clue what to do with this.

This. Over the past five years I have had to replace four Apple power adapters. Two caught on fire, one just stopped working, and one only worked when I duct taped it to death. They replaced all but one under warranty. But when I asked the

This is a very fascinating set of comments. We have people that believe that the news is irrelevant, mere entertainment, a form of brainwashing (!), and something that only encompasses quick hit reporting. Then we have those that argue for

Yep, you just described my two biggest problems with my Senz. Add a curved handle and a pointed bottom (even just a replaceable metal nub) and now you've got the perfect umbrella.

Upper East Side. $950 per person for a nice corner unit in a walk up. Mostly I want to dispel the idea that New York is prohibitively expensive for startups. It's not if you're resourceful.

Damn Dude. You cost double what I do in the same city. I live in a nice-sized apt in Manhattan, eat well, and go out. - Get a roommate and cut out nearly half the rent and half the utilities (two bedrooms aren't much more in a walk up). - Y

I think this analysis is probably correct for many people. However, the 27" iMac can now be used as a pretty terrific monitor when it's outlived its current lifespan. Considering the equivalent Apple display costs about $1000 new, that make

The biggest problem with journalism right now is how to pay for it. We help solve that problem. (As a side note, it works really well for bigger media companies too.)

In a nutshell, we're a one-stop shop for small businesses to get online. We work with small business customers through their existing long-time relationships with local groups and publications.

Hi Kevin, this isn't a pivot at all. It's another product we can sell to our newspaper and local organization partners. We haven't met a newspaper yet that is happy with their daily deal provider. They asked us if we would make a solution a

We couldn't agree more. That's why we don't go it alone. We work with local publications and organizations to very quickly build a sales funnel out of existing contacts and relationships. This is the way we work for all our products.

This is certainly among the best things we can do. We view it as a complement to all the other things we're doing to save local journalism. You can view a deal going on for The Press-Enterprise (one of our top 100 newspaper clients) here:
