That list is a pretty high bar but you can make it as low as you like and it’s still crickets.

Yes except a lot of it isn't even fit for their purpose and they don't rely on it. Facebook switched from Cassandra to HBase because "eventual consistency is a difficult pattern". No shit, really?

It goes further than that. I mean, it has a bash interpreter natively linked into it.

Cool story bro. I don't think that describes anyone in the market for an open source software produce to use. Instead, what it means is that before opening an issue or submitting a patch to a project, if I must create a new account on

If by actively you mean: after 3 years, nothing shipped but federated stars (maybe, none of the links in that PR work or contain the content promised, Codeberg still has no actual support for federation with other instances). Forum entirely

I think having some real examples of this 2035 is a lot more feasible now than it would have looked to most people in 2020, but the majority of projects in 2030 is absurd. Can you name even one piece of software today that is actually built

That isn't the takeaway. The takeaway is that when someone asks for your input you give them Claude's. Why do we have you?

We are talking about questions in the context of reviewing a pull request. If I ask you a question about the code, and you have to ask Claude, or otherwise cannot tell me why the code that you wrote is the way it is, that is strike one of

Public domain works incorporated into a copyrighted work result in a copyrighted work. And that case didn't determine Thaler could not have claimed authorship, only that because he didn't, his application was correctly denied.

Any work that is not copyrighted is public domain. Anyway, that case did not establish that code written with an agent cannot be copyrighted by the human operating the agent. The whole problem is that the application was submitted listing t

Let’s be completely honest: When we say it’s about “discovery”, it’s not about people anonymously obtaining and using the software. What we really mean is that lots of users need to have accounts so that star count go up.

I agree and I will go further: radicle has the only competent federation model. They are the only designers who understood from the beginning that issues and PRs belong to the repo, not to a bunch of random servers hosting every issue opene

Fedex Returns is just about the least competent product technology entity I've ever encountered and this migration was a garbage fire even by their low standards. I doubt if they could have gotten it right if they spent 10 years on it,

Urgency can definitely be real, but you can't actually go faster by not planning. There are plenty of cases where just a few hours of planning could have made a huge difference, preventing weeks of thrashing and rework.

Yes, the problem is the feedback loops often don't really exist in the planning stages. It is more difficult to gauge progress. There can be very detailed specifications or plans that won't survive their first contact with reality

I agree with one distinction - coding agent workflows can use defined subagent roles that are pinned to specific models and I have found this very effective. The orchestrator is building all the context to make these assignments - it’s not

It’s been well thought out and edited but it’s clearly written by AI, and it was obvious long before “load-bearing”. Still - it makes an important point well and is worth reading.

Black holes are simply a consequence of GR, which has made more successful predictions than just about any physical theory. Did M-branes make any successful predictions?

omp is not really pi. Its a very distant fork of it. And its philosophy is completely different, it includes everything you need except workflow skills. Personally, I think it is the best agent coding tool by far, and its what I settled on

There are so many observations that fit the theory at this point, that we know there is a supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy just as well as we knew the earth orbited the sun before the voyager flight.

It was a huge advancement but it did not beat the world champion. AlphaGo is noted for being a self-learning system that became better than all humans. Chess engines had long been there but were not self-learning before AlphaZero.
